Where to start learning about Meningitis

Postby MailMe01 » Wed Apr 07, 2010 4:10 pm

It can be a little overwhelming to sort out all the information (and misinformation). Remember that websites from reputable hospitals or research facilities can be more reliable and trustworthy. Here are a few places to start:
The Center for Disease Control (CDC): http://www.cdc.gov/meningitis/about/faq.html#causes
The Mayo Clinic: http://www.mayoclinic.com/health/meningitis/DS00118
The Cleveland Clinic: http://my.clevelandclinic.org/disorders ... gitis.aspx
National Meningitis Association: http://www.nmaus.org/meningitis/
The Meningitis Trust (a British website with good after-illness information):
http://www.meningitis-trust.org/disease ... &section=2

Anyone have other sources to add? This can only help the next distressed families coming here for help & info in a hurry!
